Merry Christmas, America!  Today, America is indeed a bright light and inspiration to so much of the world.  While our natural resources, scenic beauty, industrial leadership, inventiveness, and global philanthropy are unparalleled, by those beyond our shores, America is still by far most admired for those not so little "truths" that are indeed "self evident."  Namely, mankind is personally endowed by God Almighty with certain rights...the right to life itself, the right to liberty, and the unfettered right to pursue happiness... while everyone else does the same. 

Today, America exists to ensure that these special and even somewhat unique rights for all people are, and remain, inalienable, or in other words, inseparable, from "we the people," who have them to experience, and to safeguard, and to enjoy.
